Announcements

Tonight is our annual Christmas Caroling. We will meet at the church at 3:45. Afterwards there will be a meal beginning around 6:00. Every family should bring enough sandwiches and cookies for their family then we will share them. Soup will be provided. Following the meal there will be a Christmas program by the children beginning around 7:00.

The historic Stonewall Brigade Band will present a Christmas Concert at 7:30 pm on Monday, December 20, in the sanctuary of St. Paul's United Methodist Church, 2000 Shutterlee Mill Road, Staunton, featuring guest vocalist Ernest Holley. An offering will be received to benefit the Blue Ridge Area Food Bank.

Springdale Mennonite has invited us to join them for their Christmas Eve service beginning at 6:30. See Kevin for more details.

There is one poinsettia at the front of the sanctuary for each family in the congregation. Please feel free to take your poinsettia on the last Sunday before Christmas that you will be here.

Please Prayer For:

  • Those who are traveling during the Christmas season.
  • Those who are mourning the loss of loved ones.
  • Those who are without a warm place to sleep.

Matthew 1:22-23, “All this took place to fulfill what the Lord had said through the prophet: The virgin will conceive and give birth to a son, and they will call him Immanuel (which means God with us).”

Thank you for joining us in worship today.  If this is your first time at Staunton Mennonite,
please fill out the “Welcome” card in the back of the pew and place it in the offering plate.
