You are invited to join in a shed repairing & raising party at Gary & Artis' on Oct. 20, 10 a.m. until it is done. Lunch will be provided. Rain date is scheduled for Oct. 27. For directions call: 448-3504.

The Fall Brunswick Stew Cook Out will be at the Huyards’ on Sunday, Oct. 21. We'll plan to eat at 5 p.m. but the stew will need to be started early in the afternoon. Folks may come early to help with this. If anyone has tomatoes, corn, potatoes, onions, or limas to contribute let Kathy or Marlene know. Please bring a salad or dessert to go with the stew. If anyone wants stew to take home they should bring a quart jar.

Jenifer Bradford would like to invite everyone to a carry-in meal to celebrate the 50th anniversary of her coming to the United States. The meal will be held immediately after church on October 28th in the church fellowship hall. Jenifer plans to share during the dessert time about her immigration experiences.

Please Prayer For:

    • Joyce Showalter as she undergoes shoulder replacement surgery this Tuesday.
    • Susan Huyard as she undergoes chemotherapy this week.
    • BJ Rohr, Dorcas Hanbury, and Merton Greenleaf, our friends and family dealing with cancer and its treatment.
    • Paul Duncan as he heals following gallbladder surgery.
    • Virginia Duncan recovering from a fall and broken wrist.

Galatians 3:23-29
Before the coming of this faith, we were held in custody under the law,
locked up until the faith that was to come would be revealed. So the law was our
guardian until Christ came that we might be justified by faith. Now that this faith has come,
we are no longer under a guardian.

So in Christ Jesus you are all children of God through faith, for all of you who were baptized into Christ have clothed yourselves with Christ. There is neither Jew nor Gentile, neither slave nor free, nor is there male and female, for you are all one in Christ Jesus. If you belong to Christ, then you are Abraham’s seed, and heirs according to the promise.
