10:30 WORSHIP Service

Prayer of Affirmation

Leader: When doubt takes hold of my heart,
I will not be shaken.
People: When fear grips my hand,
I will not be shaken.
Leader: When temptation turns my gaze,
I will not be shaken.
All: I joyfully rest in God’s presence, knowing
God holds my life.
Jesus is at my right hand;
the Holy Spirit will show the path of life. Amen.

Opening Prayer

Call to Worship

Leader: In this world of security gates,
self-sufficiency, and internet passwords,
All: we gather to worship;
People: to listen for the voice of Jesus who calls our name,
to witness to the One
who walks through locked doors,
Leader: to wonder at the scarred hands that rest gently
on our heads, hearing Jesus say to each of us:
All: Peace be with you.

Resurrected Jesus,

and an imperishable, undefiled, and unfading inheritance,
