All things work together

Praying

Jesus, Messiah, you speak in mystery and wonder.
Where we look for reason and proof,
you offer parable, and dare us to dream differently.
We do not know how or why things happen the way they do,
but we believe, from crucifixion through resurrection,
that in you all things work together for the common good.
Amen.

Confessing/Reconciling

Leader: help us to pray for wisdom
instead of power or victory,
help us to trust that in you we have enough.
People: Lord of Liberty, Eternal Judge,
Leader: free us from the same guilt and patterns of past actions
or inactions. Empower us to take responsibility, and to
realign our choices with your will.
People: Lord of Mercy, Divine Interpreter,
Leader: when hearts sink and words fail,
we have your assurance; sighs too deep for words
are indeed a language of prayer.
The Spirit intercedes; we are not alone.
All: Thanks be to God.

Offering

Go as yeast in flour, expanding God’s love to feed a hungry world.
Go as a tiny mustard seed, expanding by God’s love to shelter
the world.
Let the kingdom of God be seen in your life.
Go and grow in peace.
