Bearing fresh fruit

Gathering

Leader: Blessed are those who delight in God’s Word;
People: we meditate on God’s Word day and night.
Leader: Blessed are those who delight in God’s Word;
People: we sing God’s Word in our worship.
Leader: Blessed are those who delight in God’s Word;
People: we read God’s Word in the morning and the evening.
Leader: Blessed are those who delight in God’s Word;
People: we pray God’s Word as we walk in the way.
All: Blessed are we who delight in God’s Word.

Affirming Faith

There are three that testify: the Spirit, the water, and the blood!
God bore witness to the Son
when the Spirit descended upon him.
God bore witness to the Son
when he was baptized in the Jordon.
God bore witness to the Son when he hung upon the cross.
Therefore we believe in God’s witness;
therefore we believe in God’s Son.
Therefore we have life in God’s Son, eternal life.
This is our testimony!

Sending

Jesus’ words: These are my people, whom you have given to
me. To them I have made your name known. They have kept
your word. They know what you gave me. They believe that
you sent me. Holy Father, protect them in my name. Make
them one as we are one. Defend them from the evil one.
Sanctify them in the truth. Just as you sent me into the world, I
am sending them into the world. Amen.
