The fullness of time

Call to Worship: Psalm 85:8-13

Leader: Let us hear what God the Lord will speak,
for he will speak peace to his people,
to his faithful, to those who turn to him in their hearts.
People: Surely his salvation is at hand for those who fear him,
that his glory may dwell in our land.
Leader: Steadfast love and faithfulness will meet;
righteousness and peace will kiss each other.
People: Faithfulness will spring up from the ground,
and righteousness will look down from the sky.
Leader: The Lord will give what is good,
and our land will yield its increase.
All: Righteousness will go before him,
and will make a path for his steps.

Praying

God our provider, you have blessed us in Christ with every
spiritual blessing. Before the world was created, you already
knew us and loved us. You adopted us as your own children,
and redeemed us through the blood of Christ. You made us
your heirs. You gave us your very Spirit as a sign and guarantee
of all that is to come.
Blessed God, we wait for the day when, in the fullness of
time, you will gather up all things in Christ, things in heaven
and on earth. We wait for the day when all prophesy is fulfilled.
We wait for the day of redemption. Through Christ who
is our hope we pray. Amen.

Sending

We have heard the Word of the Lord.
Like Amos, we are not prophets, but herdsmen and arborists.
But God has called us today to share Christ.
We go now to share of our life in him.
