Please join us after the service today for a fellowship meal.

There will be a prayer meeting this Wednesday, beginning at 7:00 pm.

Next week we will begin our yet-to-be-named sermon series on hell and life after death. If you miss a Sunday, please find the sermons at mennochurch.com as each sermon will build upon the previous one.

On May 4th there will be a potato bar fundraiser for Leah Huyard’s trip with the Eastern Mennonite High School Touring Choir to Great Britain. Food will be served from 5:30-7:00 pm.

The Mennonite Women of Virginia Annual Missions Day event will be held Thursday, May 5, Mt. Clinton Mennonite Church, at 6 pm. To make a reservation for this free dinner please contact Dianna Lehman at 540-810-2706 or by email at: dianna.lehman@vmmissions.org.

Our May 8 offering will be divided evenly between Virginia Mennonite Missions and Virginia Mennonite Conference.

Please pray for:

• Those affected by the fire in the National Park, including Ed Anderson as he works with
    the containment crews.
• Our friends and family members suffering from seasonal illnesses and allergies.
• Our students and teachers as they finish the school year.

I am making all things new

All: Praise the Lord!
Leader: Praise the Lord from the heavens and the earth.
Sun and moon, and shining stars,
People: praise the Lord!
Leader: All waters, fire, and hail; snow and frost; stormy winds;
mountains and trees; animals of the land, sea, and sky;
People: praise the Lord!
Leader: Rulers, all people, men and women, old and young,
People: will praise the Lord’s name, which alone is exalted.
The Lord’s glory is above earth and heaven.
All: Praise the Lord!

Reconciling God, your Spirit brings together those we split apart.
Like the Jerusalem believers,
we confess that we have made distinctions between them and us.
Your gift of repentance that leads to life shatters the barriers we create.
Keep us from hindering you, O God. Amen.

Men: Then I saw a new heaven and a new earth.
Women: See, I am making all things new.
Men: The holy city came from heaven, shimmering with beauty.
Women: I will dwell with you. You will be my people.
Men: The former things had passed away: death, crying, and pain.
Women: I myself will be with you. I will wipe every tear from your
eyes. See, I am making all things new!
