Gathering

Leader: God is here among us.
People: How lovely is your dwelling place, O Lord of hosts!
Leader: God is here within us.
People: How lovely is your dwelling place, O Lord of hosts!
Leader: Blessed are those who live in God’s presence.
People: How lovely is your dwelling place, O Lord of hosts!

Confessing/Reconciling

Lord, we confess our desperate need for you.
Our lives are in confusion.
Our world cries out in pain.
Lord, we confess that we love to wander.
We stray far from your paths
and then we wonder where you have gone.
But you are right here among us.
Do not treat us as we deserve.
In your mercy restore us
and heal our world.
Amen.

Offering

Holy God, with this offering we remind ourselves that you are in
the midst of us. You have been present as we spent our time earning
our income. You have been present as we make decisions about
how to spend our money. As we dedicate this offering, we dedicate
our time and our decisions. May our lives and our living proclaim
your presence, for we are called by your name. Amen.
—Harold Schlegel, Morden, Manitoba
